About the Company
You may be thinking that Juicy Beetle Games are a team of people working on pumping out some of your favorite games... Well, it's not. In fact, it's made up of only one solo developer!
My name is Lindsay Goodridge, and I had created 'Juicy Beetle Games' from the ground up. I started working in the industry since 2010, working on a fair amount of freelance work. Since then, I started to expand my knowledge in the fields of programming. I'm still not very good with programming, but with visual coding (such as Stencyl), and more node based systems (such as UE4) coming out, it makes it much more easier for an artist to produce some really cool stuff without delving too heavily into the programming world.
I started my own game development journey mid 2015 on the development of 'Slidey Feet' using the program 'Stencyl'. Working countless hours on pumping out as much as i could for the game. Doing this (expending blood, sweat, and tears mind you), I had finally managed to finish the game!... But not alone.
With the help of my amazing sound designer (Samuel Dickenson), and the support of my 'other work' colleagues (huge thanks to you all by the way!), we managed to produce a product I personally am VERY proud of.
So whats in store for the future? Good question. I have so many ideas for more games later on, but before I consider anything else, I would like to focus on expanding 'Slidey Feet' to a point where people can delve countless hours in to it, but still barely touching the surface... Might be good to have extra help on board with this... But! As a personal feat, I would love to see how much i can push with not just the game, but as a game developer. I drive to learn and expand my skills, understand more things, and overall, motivate myself to really produce some amazing games for you to play!
Eventually, i would love to expand the company further and employ people to help create some amazing games, but, I just don't have the power to do that yet.
So generally, companies have some type of 'Mission Statement' or 'Vision Statement'... So i guess, this is where I would put it... To be honest with you, I would just love to spend my time making genuine games for genuine people. Simple.
Just remember, you are the ones who dictate Gaming. Without your support, games wouldn't be where they are today, so thank you.
